The rules we test against

Editorial policy and affiliate disclosure

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through them, the retailer pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. That’s the entire business model, no sponsored posts, no paid placements, no “featured” slots.

How rankings are protected from it

  • Rankings are locked before affiliate availability is checked, and commissions never reorder them.
  • Devices with no affiliate program compete on identical terms.
  • Negative findings publish regardless of partner status, see our known Tractive problems page.

Corrections

Factual errors get corrected in place with a dated note. Verdict changes after re-testing get a dated changelog entry on the review and a same-day update of every page that cites it.

AI use

We use AI tools for research assistance, drafting support and data organisation. Every measurement, verdict and ranking decision comes from human testing, and a human reviews every published word. AI never invents test data. Anything not yet measured is visibly labelled “field data in progress”.

Structured data rules

Review schema appears only on devices we physically tested. We publish no aggregate ratings, one test bench isn’t an aggregate, and we’d rather lose a star snippet than fake one. Desk-researched pages carry plain Article markup and a visible label.
